PORTLAND SEAFARERS MISSION - Empowering Communities
The Portland Seafarers Mission is a non-profit organization. Its primary purpose is to provide services to the seafarers who come into the area without partiality of race, religion, economic or social condition. It is composed of different volunteers dedicated to serving, helping, and assisting the seafarers to the utmost of their abilities, embodying the love of God through their efforts and sacrifices.

Our Mission
The mission of the Portland Seafarers Mission is to serve seafarers arriving at the Port of Portland, Oregon, impartially and compassionately, regardless of race, religion, or economic and social status. We aim to embody the love of God through visible and practical support, offering spiritual guidance, health services, assistance in emergencies, liaison with authorities, transportation, communication facilities, and addressing any other needs that seafarers may encounter during their time in port.

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT
Shipboard Worship, Spiritual counseling and prayer activities to strengthen their belief. This is one of the activity offered to the seafarers for them to be strong not only physically but most importantly Spiritually.
Technology
We provide for their use, sim cards, wireless internet and access to email and social media for them to communicate to their family.
TRANSPORTATION
To churches, Shopping centers, and escorting family members on board. It is to ensure the safety of the Seafarers and their loved ones.
ESSENTIALS
Different essentials are also provided such as Gift Bags containing hats, toiletries, Sweaters, Hygiene Supplies, Shirts, Magazines, Books and etc. These are just some of the important personal belongings of seafarers that our volunteers provide.
